沙田圍馬鐡站集合起步, 沙田圍道入多石街, 經麥當奴叔叔之家上至配水庫右旁山路入澗, 下降至分岔位開始上溯多石坑(又吊草岩北坑)主源精華段至山路離澗. 轉左沿山路, 穿墳場路至觀坪路, 入觀音山村, 村尾公厠入澗下降馬麗口坑右源至分岔位大休. 休後上溯馬麗口坑左源至山路離澗轉左沿山路上牛坳山, 中途覓路下降牛坳坑右源, 至開揚位置又轉右上牛坳山. 中途又沿南脊下山打林入澗下降牛坳坑左源右支, 接左源口水壩前小休. 休後出引水道, 至大老山隧道口收費站, 續穿小瀝源, 沿小瀝源路前行接大涌橋路, 跨橋橫過城門河至源禾路, 轉左行至沙田運動場洗白白 20091122
