Sabah Malaysia 2011 -- fotop.net photo sharing network

This is our tour of Kotakinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia for the 3rd time from April 30 to May 4, 2011 for 5 days. It has changed a lot since we last visited it 20-30 years ago. We stayed at the Nexus Resort Beach Hotel and did a lot of swimming and fishing from outlying islands. Quite a few species of small birds plus the white-breasted Kingfisher is found around the woodland of the hotel. The rooms are large & comfortable and there's a shuttle bus to and from the city at Ringit 24 per person for a return trip. The beach at the hotel is quite wavy but the sea bed is all sand without any corals or rocks. Very easy for the feet. As this is holiday on the beach, no birding equipments were with me . Cheers
