The Clock Tower of "Star Ferry" Pier has been a part of Central on the Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong since 15th December, 1957. The Clock Tower was built when the "Star Ferry" Pier was relocated beside Edinburgh Place. The clock chimes every 15 minutes around the clock. John Keswick of Jardine Matheson gave the clock to the Star Ferry in celebration of the new pier of 1957. It was said that the clock was a gift from the King of Belgium to British government and then to Jardine Matheson. The pier is going to be relocated as the result of reclamation again. Its new location is 300 metres away from current location. The Clock Tower would be preserved in its current location.
