Australian Geckos
There are 91 different kinds of Geckos in Australia. Few exceed 30cm in lenght and most are 20 cm or less. They all frequently clean their eyes with their tongue due to having a transparent totally fused eyelid that can not be washed by tears.
What do they eat? Most Australian Geckos feed largely on small types of insects, spiders and occasionally other smaller geckos and lizards
Where do they live? Thoughout most of Australia and shelter in burrows, rock crevices and tree hollows.
Interesting Facts: Most Geckos drop some or all of their tail when attacked by predators or when fighting.
