Album: The Pot Bellied Seahorse (Hippocampus abdominalis)

The Pot Bellied seahorse is one of the larges seahorses in the world and can grow up to 32cm. The female lays her eggs into the male's pouch where he guards them until the eggs hatch and he 'gives birth'. A successful male spends most of his life in this 'pregnant' state.
