INTRO
It was supposed to be a reunion trip for 4 ex-classmates after their graduation trip ages b4. U know, however, life is full of variables.......Finally, cherry went to Ukraine w/ senior A, then to London to join my 2 classmates + visit sis's newborn!
STOP OVER CITIES
Riga - Even it's a lovely day when we landed off, my winter memories of the city recalled. And I guess I know why the city is getting more popular especially during summer!!
Vilnius - My favourite Baltic capital now becomes European Capital of Culture 2009! However spent least time here.......anyway I'll be back to stay longer time visiting other parts of Lithuania +/- applyig visa to Belarus (it costs EUR150 for 3 days includ insurance/ accom voucher/ fast application fee....indeed apply b4hand is much cheaper)
Warszawa - Arrived at midnight and leave at early morning.......For me, it's a place with lovely memories forever.......haha
Przemyśl - A Polish border town. Feeling like back to 50s
Lviv (sounds like "lu-fifth") - Stayed for 3 days with some funny incidents.......1. NEVER bring suitcase here coz both the road and pedestrian are cobble roads!!! 2. There's dandelion seeds all over the sky in this country! 3. While waiting for a trolley, there's an old man speaking in his language approaching me, touching my little red hat.....just know how to say "Thanks" to him but still not sure what's he talking about.....Finally the old man and his wife got on the trolley, then took off his green cap to me.....if u were me, what would u do? I took off my hat to him as well, then his wife laughed, probably she said female need not be like this.....since then, just amazed with my wonderful little red hat!!!
Kyiv (sounds like "key ave") - Enjoying the atmosphere of the hostel, went out for drinks with old dorm mates and their topics, start walking around by self, as well as the dirt cheap expenses!
London - Another story with the eastern Europe. Enjoying city life with classmates, sister and her baby etc. And I learnt, to meet/ visit/ travel with "friend" is my goal for "travelling'!

In brief, spent €270 in Riga, Vilnius, Poland, Ukraine including accomodation, transport, food!
On the other hand, spent £200 in London for 3 days only!

Accomodation: Oki Doki Hostel, 96PLN pp/night
Transportation: Warszawa> Przemyśl by train 0720-1515 takes 54 PLN

Lviv €1 = 10.707 Ukraine Hryvnia (UAH), thus I think it's ~1:1 with HKD
