昨夜渡輪上 - 記中環天星碼頭二三事。
渡輪，曾是香港最重要的交通工具，當海底隧道還沒開通時，每日數以萬計的巿民便要靠小輪來往於香港和九龍之間。其規模，可從如今已破落的紅磡、土瓜灣和觀塘巴士站可知一二。其影響，足以讓加價五仙造成暴動。如今，港內渡輪只餘下幾條航線，而天星小輪更是以象徵式營運。那僅存的幾分鐘航程，讓旅客、讓巿民最近距離的接觸維港。在這幾分鐘裏，看著兩岸的燈火，引發了多少人的靈感，也平靜了多人的心情。也許，多少好歌、電影橋段，也是在波影蕩漾之下啟發也未定。
小輪依舊，只是碼頭遠了許多，航程也縮短了若干。我們以後得多花氣力才能接近我們的廖斯女神。當然，靈感也要來得更快，不然，靈感未到便要下船。聞說，填海重建是要增加綠化環境疏導交通，但”改善環境”以後，卻又更少人能享受，甚至乎本來的使用者也遭摒棄於再造的空間以外。那重建/改建，又改善了誰的環境？多了幾棟更高更大的樓宇，擋了更多陽光和自然風，又是那門子的改善？
這種吊詭的邏輯，在未來幾年會愈來愈常見。在時代變遷前面，個人是無力的。我只會繼續拍照，記錄這些將消逝的風景。
幾句後話:
“謝謝在這兩個月裏來這版參觀、留言和把這版link到blog的朋友，讓這版沒有美女寫真的攝影網頁有超過二千參觀人次。請讓我再一次謝謝大家。” - 寫於十月。
十月時，我又那知道這版的人次竟可達一萬二千？不過那時我的確為這個hit rate而沾沾自喜，但如今人次雖然更多，我卻不以前為喜。因為如今天星己死，再多的hit rate都是由一羣熱情又愛香港的年青人他們每一次發起的行動所帶來。每一次有『大動作』，版面的Traffic Report馬上顯示出人流增加，事件一過，場面又變得安靜。難怪從來媒體都要變得更嘩眾取寵來爭取收視。
這一路以來的保留(衛)天星運動已慢慢演變成為社會運動，讓許多人明白到原來許多事情是可以，和應該去爭取的；要死心，其實太早。在我個人而言，我亦從一個旁觀者，慢慢變成一個積極參與者。在這個過程中，我必須明白自己的立場和責任，八卦和關注竟是只差一線。我希望我的相片可給更多的人看到現場，看到那幾分鐘新聞以外的更深一點的故事。
在這件事之中，這一版相片成為了我的virtual signature，也讓我認識了許多素昧平生，又志同道合的網友。我們有着同樣的熱情，也同樣為這件事付出或多或少的努力；彷如好友，又從未曾見面。天星以後，鬥爭的長路悠悠；我相信我們這一羣都會繼續努力，延續保衛天星的不朽精神。
所以，曾蔭權，你走着瞧！

If I knew they will tear down the STAR FERRY PIER, I would take couple pictures of outside look of the pier and whole look of the ferry when I was in HK. I went back to HK to visit my relatives in 2003 and 2005, but I didn't know they plan to tear it down since yesterday...accidentally visited HK's yahoo. Instead, I only took pictures of the pier at TsimShaTsui. |
