Hiking in Shenandoah National Park is always challenging and fun. The Big Meadow is the most attractive part of the park, with countless wild animals and the gorgeous meadow. Every season, the meadow changes colors. The Lewis Mountain River Falls are not far from the Big Meadow. The falls are 81-feet vertical, straight drop, one of the three major falls in the national park.

Went back to DC for Cherry Blossoms by Tidal Basin twice this year. The first time was in March, when only a couple of them were blooming. The second time was on April 2, not the best day, with really thick clouds. But it was the peak!

First time noticing the varieties of Cherry Blossoms. There are so many kinds just in Harrisonburg, the town I live in. It's so convenient to observe the flowers as there are two cherry trees in front of our house!

My trip to Peru during Christmas of 2008. Seeing Machu Picchu was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially climbing the Huana Picchu behind. Cuzco and the nearby highland towns are also amazing. Lima, while a little dangerous, was exciting!
