Stonier Reserve Chardonnay 2008 Grape variety : 100% Chardonnay Lovely fresh lemon sorbet flavors with a powerful condensed middle palate opening up to a lingering creamy citrus finish. Stonier Pinot Noir 2009 Grape variety : 100% Pinot Noir The 2009 growing season on the Mornington Peninsula was mild to warm with yields close to idea levels. The grapes for the Stonier Pinot Noir were selected from several long term growers for Stonier. The palate shows vibrant cherry and plum fruit flavor, with some spicy, earth complexity. The structure is weighty with fine, But quite grippy tannins providing balance to the intense fruit. The soft harmonies of ensemble cast inspired Peter Lehmann to emulate their art in a wine unlike anything else he had made before. A densely coloured shiraz showing hints of dark chocolate and black fruits. The palate is rich and soft, finishing with very fine tannins in Eight Songs tradition.
