Guayaquil downtown

Guayaquil is the largest city in Ecuador and it is also the gateway to Galapagos Islands. Travellers seldom spent time here becuase she does not have any well-known attractions. But if you are willing to spend time here, there are quite a lot of places worth visiting, where you can explore by youself including Las Penas (the hill with colonial buildings), Malecon 2000 (a city boardwalk tell you the dynamic change of Ecuador), Historical Park (the pattern is similar to Hong Kong Park), etc.
How to get there: the transportation in Guayaquil is well developed, only pay for US0.25 for one way public transport
How it cost: Most of the attractions are free of charge
