The birding spots included Lake Barrine, Lake Eacham Tourist Park, Hastie's Swamp, Malanda Falls Conservation Park, Hallorans Hill Conservation Park, Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge, Wonga Beach, Daintree River,  and Cairns area including Centenary Lake, Yorkey Lagoon, the Esplanade and Kuranda.
