Met their death - WW II journey (from Murray House to Military Cemetery) 1. Murray House During the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, Murray House was used as the command centre by the Japanese military police. It was a venue for executing Chinese citizens during the 44 month Japanese occupation. Here more than 4000 people were killed in this dark bloody World War II period. The building was believed to be haunted and was officially exorcised twice by the government. (No wonder why public funds can be spent on feng shui in our Science Park.) Ha-ha (一一!) 2. Stanley Military Cemetery Cloudy day, natural architecture, white cross, defoliated trees, fallen leaves, stone graves, and our flash flower comprising what is the most peaceful burial ground in Hong Kong. Where is it??? Harry Potter shotting scene..............NONONO “Here lies man from many countries, who gave their lives for freedom.” There are 691 World War II casualties buried. 488 are British, 157 are Hongkonger, and other is foreigner. And 10 unknown graves represented. Highly admire all man who fell in the defence of Hong Kong in 1941-1945.
