番禺餘蔭山房這座古庭園，佈局精巧。它以“藏而不露”和“縮龍成寸”的手法，
將亭、臺、褸、閣、堂、館、軒、榭、橋、廊堤、石山、碧水盡納于三畝之地，
而且回廊、花窗、影壁巧妙借景，使得小小園林顯出園中有園，景中有景，幽深廣闊，小巧玲瓏，素雅清淡。
其二門對聯“餘地三弓紅雨足，蔭天一角綠雲深”正是此園點題之句。
