USU Photo Competition: This is me and my culture
****I WON!!!! I was born and lived in Hong Kong for most of my life. I attended high school in the UK for 5 years but Hong Kong is still my home country where I return every holiday. This is my first year in Sydney.
A brief description of Hong Kong: After the handover at 1997, Hong Kong became a special administrative region of China where it became a semi-democratic capitalist enclave. The best thing about being in Hong Kong is getting flummoxed and fired by the confluences and contradictions of a Chinese city with multi-Asian and Western elements. Geographically, Hong Kong consists of the Hong Kong Island, the Kowloon Peninsula and the New Territories which is attached to the border of China and numerous big and small islands around it.
