The original and premium labels of Logan vineyards was launched in 1997. These wines are made purely from grapes grown in Orange, New South West. At the highest wine region in Australia where vineyards must be at least 600 metres above sea level. In fact, it are considerably higher still at altitudes above 800 metres. Each of the labels in this range feature the delicate embroidery work of a very talented lady. The different branches, fruits and flowers depicted in the embroidery illustrate the character of each individual wine.
Wine Tasting List:
1. Logan M Cuvee 2008/2009
Light rust color with very fine bubbles and a persistent creamy mousse. The crisp and dry palate has flavours of lemon rind, nectarine and a salty minerality before a very long finish.
2. Logan Weemala Pinot Gris 2010/2011
It is white gold in color, and has aromas of fresh pear, mandarin and honeysuckle with white peach and nutty nougat flavours before a long lemon and mineral finish.
3. Logan Weemala Merlot 2009/2010
It has aromas of mulberry, violets, fresh earth and woody herbs with a full palate of plum, mixed berries and dark chocolate before a long dry finish.
4. Logan Shiraz 2008/2009
The complex aroma has mixed berries, white pepper, plums and Chinese 5 spice characters. The palate is full with flavours of summer pudding, beetroot and beef stock before a long spicy finish.
5. Logan Cabernet Merlot 2009/2010
Deep dark red color with aromas of mixed berries, violet, dark chocolate, thyme and tobacco. The textured palate which also shows raspberry, rosemary and fresh earth, grainy tannis and a long finish.
