坪洲曾經是工業興旺的小島，主要的行業有牛皮廠，火柴廠和瓷器加工工場等。

近年經濟轉型，工業活動式微，這裡已轉型為具有藝術氣息的文創園地。

由昔日的牛皮廠活化而成，以荒棄物件創作裝置藝術為主題的「秘密花園」和附近的彩繪壁畫，

都是具有吸引力的景點，是消磨閒暇的好去處。

Ping Chau was once a busy industrial island with major trades such as leather processing,

fire match manufacturing, and porcelain post production.

Recently, with economic transformation and the decline of industrial activities,

it had been reformed into a cultural and creative area bearing a rich artistic touch.

The former leather factory has been revitalized into a venue called "My Secret Garden",

where abandoned objects are collected to create installation art,

and the nearby wall murals are all great attractions and nice places to spend the leisure time.
