Day 1 Route and Features: Take Shuttle bus from Whakapapa village to Mangatepopo Road (NZ$25 per way) > Start at Mangatepopo Road (1150m) > Mangatepopo Hut (30 minutes walk) > Soda Spring (1440m, 1.5 hours walk) > South Crater (1660m, 1.5 hours walk) > Red Crater (the highest point 1886m, 1 hour walk) > Emerald Lake (1 hour walk) > Blue Lake (1 hour walk) > Return back to Oturere Hut (1st night staying place) Ship Tongariro Northern Circuit [World Heritage]

Start point The route is flat for the first 1-2 hours Steady rocky path This rout is also one of the famous tourist spot - Tongariro Alpine Crossing One of the volcano i am pointing now is Mt. Ngauruhoe The route is well equipped for all hikers, but applicable in the Crossing only, not the Northern Circuit Start to climb It is harsh to climb up but worth due to awesome views Incredible landscape Almost to the top
