Vincent Poon :: Dubrovnik City - Old & New

Besides climbing the city walls and taking the cable car, the rest of our time was spent in the Old City exploring the museums and the churches, getting lost in the alleyways, checking out the Baroque and Gothic architecture, reading up the history and chilling out near the sea side. Although you could find many of these elements in many  other European cities, Dubrovnik in my opinion is still very unique and is definitely worth another visit

Interesting... expensive too..
Found this at one of the restaurants. I am still not sure whether there is no wifi or free wifi..
The Dominican Monastery looked even more eerie at night
At the end of Placa street was the City Bell Tower that was originally built in 1444, it was rebuilt in 1929 after the great earthquake

This cat was there besides us during our meal. I guess he must be waiting for food...
This live jazz@Klarisa (restaurant) and the cool weather at night made the atmosphere and ambiance particularly good. Next time we should spend some time here!
Gundulic Square at night. It was filled with restaurants and offered an excellent atmosphere to dine out in the open.
I guess those must be canon balls. Not sure what the building was for.

Dubrovnik ice cream!! Wondered if that would be better than those we tried in Split
The same alley that took us to the cable car station. At night it was lit up by the many lanterns (each shop has one) that composed into a beautiful picture
Each shop has a lantern in the Old City. Btw Marco Polo was born in Croatia, according to the Croatians
i couldn't remember what shop this belonged to...
