Vincent Poon :: A culinary experience from the Balkans
 
The original intention was always to try out the local specialty of the cuisine from the various countries in the  Balkan peninsula. However after 2 weeks of eating many pasta, seafood, bread and meat I am not sure at the end what I ate was anything local or just made for the tourists.

Qatar meal from HKG-DOH, bean curd with noodles, not bad for a Middle Eastern Airline!
2nd meal before arriving Doha... Chinese Congee?! I am impressed (shame about the croissant!)
On the way to Zagreb, the breakfast is back to Western style
After landing, we immediately had to catch a bus to Plitvice Lakes, so this was our lunch (26 HRK)

Actually it tasted quite good!
Our first dinner on 17-Sep@Bistro Vucnica. It was actually a ski shop and restaurant, and the only restaurant in Mujinke, near the Plitvice Lakes
Chicken Skewer... the meat was so tough I missed those in Turkey
Mushrooms, didn't expect they serve this in the restaurant
Actually it tasted quite good!

18-Sep, breakfast at Vila Lika (10 EUR pp) The food variety was not great but the food was fresh, oh and you get some omelettes too!
