Vincent Poon :: Plitvice Lakes National Park

Perhaps one of the best known places in Croatia, Plitvice Lakes National Park is truly a must see. Consisting of 16 lakes, this UNESCO site has an abundance of forested hills, turqoise water and falls that will guarantee you a temporary escape from your urban jungle.

We started to descend all the way from above to the lower lakes
On the way of descend we found this Supljara cave... hmm... enter at our own risk... -_-"
Information on the cave, a cave without a floor or a ceiling
This is the detour way to the cave, sadly we didn't have time to check it out this time

After much descending we arrived at the lakes' level. The first one is Kaluderovac. They have got signpost for each of the lake, stating the facts and its relative position. This one is right at the lowest point
Almost all the lakes here are turquoise in color
The shadow above and the sediments beneath made an interesting composition
Meet the residents of the lakes. I believe I have met one of them before on my dinner table last night

On the way to the Great Fall. This is Lake Novakovica Brod.. don't ask me what that guy was doing (or going to do)
Finally we arrived at the Great Waterfall, where the water tumbles from a height of 78 metres from above
This is found near the site of the Great Waterfall, but not sure what it is so dangerous about...
Afterwards we retracted our path to Lake Kalderovac
