We actually started from the end of the trail and worked our way back to the entrance
| The gorge is overgrown with beech forests.
| Stone arch railway bridge over the Radovna for Bohinj Railway
| The end of the trail is marked by the magnificent, 16 m high waterfall Šum, the highest fluvial waterfall in Slovenia.

The Radovna river cuts the Vintgar gorge deep between the hills of Hom and Boršt.
| The highlight is a 1600m wooden walkway through the gorge, built in 1893 and continually rebuilt ever since.
| The wooden walkway crisscrosses the swirling Radovna River four times over rapids, waterfalls and pools
| The water is very clear and sometimes it looks emerald green and other times it is turquoise blue. They say there are fishes swimming in it though i didn't see any

Along the trail there are many rapids like this
| Even though I have just been to Plitvice@Croatia, walking along this gorge is another level of experience
| Almost near the end of the walk, I must say the walk was easy (even for me) and was well worth the 2 hour and the 5 euro
| The ticketing office at the entrance, and to us, the end of our pleasant walk
