This is my starting point: the street in front of Bab el-Mansour, where my taxi dropped me off
| On the left is Place el-Hedim
| Place el-Hedim means "Square of Ruins" as it was laid out on the ruins of the Merinid Kasbah
| The first "pavilion" says tourist information, though I don't see anyone on duty inside.
| You could see caleches running on the street of Meknes
| On the right of the street is Bab el-Mansour
| The gate is well preserved with lavish zellij and inscriptions across the top.
Nowadays, inside the bab hosts exhibitions
| So you have to use the side gate on the left to walk through it, which I sadly missed it at the beginning
| Instead I tried to walk around it from the right of the Bab. You could see the vast length and size of the city wall
| Some doors opened to patios inside
