Vincent Poon :: Rabat (29-Oct)

Rabat, one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, is also the capital city of Morocco. Unlike Casablanca, it is more interesting than it seems especially with the Ocean, Kasbah, the Medina and the peace and tranquility not usually found in a capital city

The tower was originally planned as a 60m minaret but was abandoned at 44m. It has the same design as the Giralda in Seville and Koutoubia in Marrakesh

Album: Kasbah des Oudaias

I personally think is the best of Rabat. Besides the tiny streets with houses painted in blue and white, at the end is a platform where it offers a sweeping views of the ocean, the estuary and Sale.
