Vincent Poon :: Ports of Call - Messina, Mt. Etna & Taormina

Messina was the first port of call in our trip; it was also the first time I set foot in Sicily and also the first time I climbed an active volcano. In fact it is the largest in Europe... boy, aren't you excited?

What we got at the end was a crater that even the old people can climb and finish in minutes, and also a beautiful medieval town if not spoilt by the heavy rain storm...

We have been told the ice-cream in Southern Italy is definitely something not to be missed!
This pistachio ice-cream is one serving, gigantic isn't it? (2.5 euro)
The storm is brewing, but luckily we are getting out of here... Greece here we come!
