Vincent Poon :: Celebrity Reflection

Celebrity Reflection is the biggest we have been to and certainly one of the best. Unfortunately there were only 2 sea days in the entire cruise and we didn't have time to try out many activities and food (the burgers!) In all,  the ship, the food and the services did not disappoint!

This one was from 'Nine'
Grilled Shrimp and Scallops kebab. I thought the grill will be better in Tuscan Grille.
Album: The Ship!

Celebrity Reflection is the newest (Oct 2012) and largest of Celebrity's Solstice Class, with 126k tonnage and occupancy of 3k passengers, it certainly is the biggest I have been so far! It is also famous for the lawn (real grass) on the top deck as well as a vast display of art pieces, chic design and collections around the ship, neither of them I really had time to enjoy... well, maybe next time!

Album: Our Cabin

We booked a concierge class cabin and was lucky to be upgraded(?) with a room for the disabled. Both the room and the balcony were larger than the normal room, we also got the automatic door as well.. This was also the first time we had a balcony in a cruise.. it makes all the difference!

Album: The Fun!

Just like all other cruises, there were just too many events and things to do that basically you just would not have time to join them all! So choose wisely or you will miss out all the fun!

Album: The Food!

Having been to other cruises before, I must say Celebrity's food really did not disappoint, that included those 'free' food served inside the buffet restaurant as well as the main dining room. The specialty restaurants, of course, were even better and the dining package of US$125 per head (for 4 restaurants) were worth it!

This is the view you see if you look up from the grand foyer. The lifts and the famous Relection Tree
The Galleria Boutiques, where the top designer brands are
This looked awesome the first time I saw this
Album: Deck 3

Deck 3 is really the lowest floor where all ship activities start... Places of interests include Opus, the main dining room, the Reflection theatre, the Grand Foyer, Guest Relations and Shore Excursions... for us, we usually go there just for the dinners...

Album: Deck 4

Deck 4 is more interesting. The 2-storey dining room continues... so is the 3-storey Reflection Theatre. On top of that more bars, shops on the Boulevard, a Casio as well as Conference Centers (wait...who wants to do conferences during a cruise?!)

Album: Deck 5

Deck 5 marks the top floor of the Reflection Theatre... More expensive boutiques, and a vast array of Specialty Restaurants, bars and lounges. Come here to get fed and drunk!

Album: Middle Decks

The middle decks (6-12, there is no 13) are where most of the cabins are, and are also reserved for the quiet and intellect with the famous library and he hideout where you can enjoy reading a book or two. It also has Game-on for playing electronic board games and even an iLounge with Macs for you to communicate to the outside world. Oh, have I forgot to mention about the Spa and the gym too?

This is the outdoor pool (actually they are divided into 2 small pools, barely swimmable)
Most of the crowd will gather at the bar at sunset, occasionally, one or two will stay up late
Album: Deck 14

Deck 14 has the pools,Jacuzzis and sun lounge chairs where most people hang around as sun as the sun gets out. The Solarium is like a glass house where you can still enjoy the sun without getting roasted. The Sky Observation Lounge is the only place you will see the front of the ship (and the disco at night too!). For us we go to the Oceanview Café just for the breakfasts and the lunches!

Album: Deck 15 & Solstice Deck

Deck 15 is where the green lawn and the Alcoves are. The Alcoves are so bloody expensive no one really bothered to rent. The Sunset Bar is definitely the place to hangout to before and after dinner. Or if you want something different, how about a class in the Art Studio or a game of basketball inside a cage? As for the Solstice Deck, just forget it except that it is the highest deck you can reach to....
