Bardo houses a large collection of Roman mosaics gathered around Tunisia and is considered to be one of the best in the world. (used to be the largest too until Turkey's Zeugma Mosaic Museum opened a few years ago)
 
Beside the vast mosaics collection, the museum itself was converted from a former palace and was itself a true masterpiece.

After walking a long way along the wall, we finally found the main gate!
The exterior of the museum looked very modern
As it was already past lunch time so we had to look for a cafe for lunch, but this kind of cafe was not what I have anticipated!
Since that was the only place with food in the entire complex, so that was our lunch! (6 TND)

The corridor was already decorated with mosaics
Two fighting athletes - Main scene of a pavement representing two fighting nude pugilists. Their hands are protected with gloves. The scene is quite similar to a modern boxing match.
