This is the front of the Hotel Carton, where we stayed in Tunis for a few days. It was quite cheap and centrally located in the downtown area of the city.

The corridors looked newly refurbished

First room we were given... everything looked fine, except that the windows could not be locked...

We changed to 314. The windows still couldn't be locked, but at least we were on the 3rd floor... we got a non-working fridge here as an added bonus

Showers were ok

Toilet looked clean too

They even have their own logo on the toiletries

This is the view from our room... you either get a room at the front and get the noisy traffic or at the back with this view

The restaurant on the 1st floor

The design looked quite modern... those chairs looked so much like designer chairs!

The breakfast was basically cold cut and salads

plus fig and apricot jams and honey
