| it is called 交河故城 because the country was established on an intersection of two rivers.

| of course, this used to be an intersection. imagine some years ago there were people there and suddenly the whole country was demolished because it was defected by another country and the left over people fled.

| far side it is a small temper, to the most north of the city.

| cannot see well but there were many structures left, though not complete.

| the same structure as the previous picture. I wanted to go to some 古城 in Xinjiang but ended up this was the only one I could go.

| so we took off, and headed back to 乌鲁木齐, once again.

almost right before we entered 乌鲁木齐, this was the Asia largest wind power generation facility.

| even though it shows a lot of those generators here, but actually there are far more.

we stopped the car at the rest area. so many tourist coaches and other cars stopped there just to see the facility. look at the far side and you will see there were so many of those generators.

| it's not very clear but if you pay attention to the far side, there were line ups and line ups of those generators.

| it was really a spectacular view and its name is 垯坂城风力发电站.

| time for a group picture again. was this the last group picture for the trip? I think so.

we were almost back to 乌鲁木齐 again.

| this is the 林安宾馆 that we stayed that night. it was more like an hourly motel but only this one the price was ok. other ones were either too expensive or too shit.

| we were heading to the 大巴札 in 乌鲁木齐.

| the 大巴札 is over there. there were so many people in this square.
|

this was one of the 大巴札. but at the end we did not get in there. it was very much like a shopping mall.

| hah, look at them. what's so attractive?

| we got in this one. but I did not buy anything, Carrie and Zola did.

| the building of 大巴札 was actually very interesting. at night, there were singing shows too at a square right beside 大巴札.

| so this is the 团结民族风情夜市 where we had our dinner.*

| we had too much lamb before so we decided to have chicken this time.
|
| everyone was enjoying the food and the beer.
|
| it quickly got dark, the view was even better.
|
| I tell you, the roast chicken was really good.
|
|
|
|
these are the roast chicken and the 烤全羊 if you remember. after dinner, we walked around again the shopping area and headed back to sleep.
