Having walked all the way down now I thought this was the road up that led to the Church of Mary Magdalene

Found it finally!!... OH what? It was closed on Mondays! Damn....

No choice but to check out the next one - Church of Dominus Flevit

Closed again for lunch! Lonely Planet did not say they have siesta!!!

The scenery would be nice if I didn't have to walk up and down...

Finally found something that was not closed. Tomb of the Prophets. Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi were buried here at around 500 BC

Found a scenic spot with an excellent view of the old city of Jerusalem. The building with the golden dome was the famous Dome of the Rock

and also a good view of the Church of Mary Magdalene.

The sign showed the areas of interests in Jerusalem. I guessed you would need a pair of binoculars for that... right in front was the Jewish cemetery in the valley of Kidron (Jehoshaphat), where they believed the Last Judgement will take place, well, on the Judgement Day.
