Vincent Poon :: King Abdullah Mosque
A very modern mosque built in 1989 by King Hussein for King Abdullah. The only mosque in Amman which I can go inside. A fine example of modern day Islamic architecture (compared to those ancient ones I saw before in Egypt)

The blue dome has interesting inscriptions and patterns all over it.
One of the two minarets, again it shows example of modern islamic architecture
Although in Ottoman style, this mosque has the most sharp edges I have seen so far.
The pillar-less prayer hall can host 7000 worshippers
